The Website features the product of one, single marriage – that of WILLIAM, Duke of Normandy, King of England and MATILDA, daughter of Baldwin, Count of Flanders.
It is the result of almost 40 years of work and has become a lifetime project – one I will continue all the while I am able.
All mistakes and errors are my own and, should any out there in Genealogy Land spot inaccuracies, please let me know.
The Website has a number of other features which may assist you in the search for your own ancestors.
There are also pages to include my love of history and Italy.
The "About Me" page tells how I got into this wonderful hobby.
It has become a growing feature that many genealogical websites charge you for the privilege of using and viewing their data. The latest is the Geneall.net website. You will notice that the information on my website is completely free. Although it cost about £200 per year, as I tell my wife, it's cheaper than golf and at least she knows where I am! You can, however, help by using this home page as your gateway to AMAZON.CO.UK. For every order you place, a very small percentage will be added to my account and go towards defraying the cost but at no cost to you. Just keep this page in your favourites and click on the appropriate logo at the bottom of the page. I thank you in anticipation of your kind assistance. |
Feeling the inevitable pull of mortality, it occurred to me that this website probably would not survive my demise. With that in mind, I have started to feed all the information into Ancestry.co.uk to preserve the decades of work. If you are a member of Ancestry you will find it under “The Descendants of William the Conqueror.”
Here you will find the main database and some useful sites to assist you in your family search.
